Pat Giacobbe has studied bonsai for 37 + years. He has studied with John Naka, Ben Oki and many other visiting masters.  His local teachers included Joe Samuels, Norm Nelson, Don West, Mary Miller, and Winnie Glover.  He has formal training in commercial art, graphic design and fine art.  For the past nine years he has concentrated on the teachings of bonsai master Jim Smith. He is the curator of the James J. Smith Bonsai Gallery at Heathcote Botanical Gardens in Fort Pierce.
